Torque vs. Current in small CIM motors

Hey,

We are trying to design our drive chain using the small CIM motors. We want to know how much torque we can get out of our motors without triping the breakers. Is there such thing as a torque vs. current graph? If so does anyone know where we can find it?

The FIRST Guidelines, Tips and Good Practices, from 2005,
lists this motor as 346.9 oz-in at a stall current of 114 amps.
The torque is proportional to the current, so multiply the
torque figure by 40/114 and you should have a number that
is good enough for your purposes.

There were anamolies in the 2005 table, so you should check
the stall torque and current in some of the other other tables
that appear in the sticky threads in the motors section.

Have fun,

Also it depends on what transmssions you use. if you use one motor trannies you get less torque. If you use the two motor trannies then you get more power but then you can’t use any more CIM motors.
From personal experance you wont trip the breaker aslong as you run 40 amps to the motor. Remember to use PWM Y-cables if your using the duel motor trannies
