I did the angular test and got a very strange track width… 0.1 meters. Any ideas what I did wrong? sysid_data20220312-192526.json (1019.4 KB)
What wheels do you have on your robot, and what is your true track width? Track width is not intended to measure the robot’s actual track width but rather a relationship between the distance each side travels compared to actual gyro rotations.
Have you checked whether your gyro keeps up with robot rotations?
Those are the only things I can think of, all though I may be barking up the wrong tree.
check that you did your config file right (especially gear ratio), and that you also have your units calculation correct (use circumference of wheels for meters:rotations)
When doing my tests do I need to stop the robot/let it travel the same distance?
0.762 meters. Are gyro is the ADXRS450. It has a little bit of drift, but not much.
This is our config file config.json (690 Bytes)
No.
