Tragic News :(

Greetings everyone,

I am saddened to have to inform you all that Liane Forrester (one of our Team Leaders little sister) has tragically lost her fight against Cancer.

Some time ago I posted a request for everyone in the FIRST community to be thinking of Liane, and to everyone who did, from the bottom of my heart thank-you.

She fought longer than anyone could ever of asked for, and bravely battled the disease longer than many thought possible.

The following is an excerpt from our school newspaper:

Liane Forrester: July 4, 1988 - February 12, 2003.

On Wednesday, Liane Forrester, who had been fighting lymphoma - a type of cancer - for some time time, lost her fight against the disease.

This was Liane’s grade 9 year at Mowat. She grew up attending Charlottetown Jr. P.S., then Joseph Howe, and finally here at Mowat.

Liane, who many people knew as “Mikes little sister”, was a fun-loving girl who enjoyed every minute of every day. She enjoyed her dancing lessons, her music, movies, and most importantly her friends.

If there is one thing we can all learn from Liane, it is definitely the importance to live each day to its fullest - as she always did.

Everyone at Mowat must come together and offer our sympathy to the entire Forrester family during these hard times.

Everyone, when you see 783 at competitions, ask for Mike, and give him a great big hug when you see him.

Thank you all for your support.

=(

God bless her and her family.

Everyone will overcome the loss. It’s life. Just keep hope that there is a better place out there beyond the physical world.

I thought about her and I prayed about her, but it was her time to leave this world. The pain, the anger, and the tears will become distance memories as those in lose remember the best days of her life. I’m sorry I’m not able to be there for you, but in spirit I’m there holding your hand. Be strong like I know you can be and dont forget when you need to vent knock on my door. I’m always here to listen and I will always try to help in any way. I need to go to work (lifeguard) and make sure that no one drowns. My deepest regards to the Forresters and Harrison I’m here for you babe.
