The following was just sent out as a part of the AndyMark Newsletter:
Transcend and AndyMark Announce a Partnership to Break the Price Barrier of Mobile Robotics
This sounds like an interesting opportunity to bring this type of technology to either FRC or FTC, AndyMark’s two major markets. Any thoughts on what this means looking forward, either for AndyMark or for FIRST?

Just going to put this here:
2018 KoP Chassis Leak
(Walks away)
lol, imagine how many teams would have used this in stronghold?:yikes:
Given that articulated bumpers were illegal I would say none.
I see rule changes coming in the next few years. Hopes
Does this announcement take on new meaning with the Donkey Kong related teaser?
Check out this video from the Transcend website. Clearly using a number of AndyMark products. Stair climbing robot made easy.
I would also point out that the video has many of it’s section shot inside of AndyMark itself.

The robot going over the boxes or totes make me think that maybe robots will be stacking boxes or totes and then climbing over them.

The robot in the video was also featured at IRI this year. It could be seen roaming the hallways or around the AndyMark booth during qualifications.
Look at the date the GDC by this point knows the theme no more. It’s purely coincidence.
ROBOT CLIMBING STEPS!!!.. Step game confirmed!!!
Festival of champions was on July 29th, where the teaser was originally teased. This video was released on july 17th… I’m willing to bet the GDC knew what game they were designing well before that time period.
