Did you try solutions 1-3 in the dialog? What were your results?
I would also suggest a different USB cable, maybe it’s simply a bad cable.
We had the same message last night. We did 1. and that screen reappeared. Thought firewall was off but one part of it was still on, so we turned it all off (i.e. did 2.) and our Rio1 did take the format. A couple of brand new programmers then had the satisfaction of deploying code for the very first time and they were happy to see one motor spin when they pressed a joystick button!
