Tuner X Phoenix 6 Beta Error Message: "Failed to zero Cancoder with status Internal failure occurred. Contact CTRE-Electronics"

Error while trying to calibrate swerve modules

We encountered an error while trying to calibrate our Swerve Drive Specialties MK4i swerve module through Tuner X. We configure our Cancoder, the angle and drive motors, and the module position, yet we recieve this error:

Failed to zero Cancoder with status Internal failure occurred. Contact CTRE-Electronics

We are attempting to use the new Phoenix 6 library, but we cannot get past this point.

What Tuner version? Can you try updating to 2024.5.3.0 if you haven’t already?

Also, verify your CANcoders are running the correct firmware version (24.X.X.X).

We had this issue as well when we weren’t running the latest firmware (2024 firmware). As soon as we updated, it went away
