We’ve set up the wireless bridge as directed by the FRC Controls guide, and most of our computers are able to connect just fine. “Most” here referring to all but my own. I can still connect to the wireless networks of all our previous years’ radios without problem, but the wireless network of this year’s radio isn’t at all recognized by my laptop. I cannot even ping the network. Help?
What is the OS and do you use this laptop to program as well? Can you give me your IP address and subnet mask?
Windows 7, same as the other laptops, which are able to connect/see the network. I do use this laptop to program, and have been able to connect over a tether and download code just fine, so it’s not a cRIO issue. My ip is 10.0.67.42, subnet 255.0.0.0.
I have the same problem with my windows 7 laptop. Make sure that when setting the ip address you only have one ip address set (check out the advanced button to see if you have more saved). I don’t know the exact problem unfortunately but I would be glad if someone else knew the answer!
have you guys tried diabling and re-enabling the adapter?
If that doesn’t work, try disabling IPv6 and tethering to the DLink.
Have you compaired the 2011 years radio’s settings to the one that is having problems? How old is your laptop? Maybe you are only broadcasting on 801.11n and your laptop can only see 801.11g or something like that (Just select Mixed int the router’s settings)
THIS! This was indeed the problem, i recommend anyone having a similar problem to check this!
Great! Glad I could help!
