Mandatory Safety Glasses - They are not forehead protectors

Hee hee. They have a sense of humor in the manual now.

I tought it was really funny too, but it really does need to be taken seriously =]

No UTC social? :frowning:

It has always been there. There is a reason no one uses gerbils…

Wetzel

:frowning: Aww.

Is it just me, or are (This is not to be taken as me being against FIRST) there fewer updates than last year and every update since 6 hasn’t been that useful beyond first e-mail blasts and in this update about the event changes and the glasses (even though that should already be apparent)?

P.S. I know this post might sound weird, but I’ve been doing FIRST stuff since 1:00 P.M. , and i’m not usually involved for more than 5-6 hours with FIRST during a day.

Yeah its mainly because of a solid manual that was released at the start of the season. I have to hand it to the whole GDC and engineering department at FIRST for a great competition this year. Thank you guys for everything you have done.

I’ts not just you. Every year, people complain about how many updates there are. This year, there are fewer, and that is a good thing, means less questions, less confusion, less rule changes, and that the manual was written well to begin with.

What’s not useful to you, may be useful to someone else (esp rookies). Updates are sent out because they contain important information. I haven’t seen one yet that hasn’t contained some sort of information that needed to be seen.

Good job, FIRST. I have also noticed many fewer endless rule nit-picking threads on Delphi than there were last year. Either the Game Design Collective did a great job, or the NitPickers are asleep.
