upsetting

I was wondering if anyone else is in our situation…

We recently qualified for nationals by winning the SBPLI regional, and the teachers involved don’t want to go because of the war in Iraq. Personally, I feel there is no threat to us here in the United States, only to our people in the middle east. I feel that personally, my senior year has been ruined from this. Qualifying for Nationals, and earning to be down there, and not being able to go because of the war. Anyone else in this same situation?

Welcome to the club. Hopefully we can go. But using my psychic ablities, I have a feeling that Brandon will lock this thread…

I have that same feeling

It’s the same problem in NYC Regional, winners from
the public school system may not be allowed to go
on to the Nationals.

Some parents are also against travelling to the Nationals.

Does anyone think that there is any possibility of us being attacked while we’re down there? I find it highly unlikely.
