Use of Alignment Device During Match Setup

Can a Flash Light mounted on the ROBOT perimeter
be used to Align Robot at Match Setup.

A. Place Robot on Field
B. Push Button on Light to Check Alignment to Pin
ADJUST ROBOT POSTION. ( TWIST ONLY )
C. Release Button to Turn light off.
D. Remove Flash Light Battery…
E. Wait for Match to Start.

Our head ref at CHS SWVA told us not to use alignment devices unless they were powered by the robot. A team wired their light into their robot so it was always on when the robot was on. (I think?)

Do everything you listed above, but power the flashlight using the robot.

I think 180 had a flashlight on their robot. I remember watching a match topdown and seeing a light out front of a bot shining on the carpet.
