I know it’s been mentioned on one of the UTC threads, but it needs to be said again. Congratulations to Dave Ferreira from 121 for winning the Woodie Flowers Award at the UTC New England Regional! Dave has been with 121 for 9 years. His dedication and determination are unsurpassed. Dave encourages everyone to help with building the robot and makes sure that students have something to do. As our submission says, Dave is the weld that holds our team together. Congrats!
And, I guess he can bowl pretty good too… I learned that on the Thursday night of UTC this year. lol
Congrats Dave, see you down in Atlanta!
Dave is my hero.
It absolutely blew my mind when I got word of this from UTC. It is definitely well deserved.
Congratulations Dave… sorry we couldn’t be there to celebrate with you!
You’re the man!
Congrats Dave!
Wish I could have seen you accept the award. You definately deserve this one.
Eric
He had no idea he was getting it so his reaction was even better. Congratulations Dave.
He deffinitely deserved it. It was so strange to us during the build season, every time our team came down to #121 for help, Dave instantly dropped what he was doing, and did everything in his power to help us. It was instantaneous, everytime we walked in, it was “What do you guys need help with? What can I do for you?”
Congrats again, Dave!
on this note you should have seen his face HAHAH he had NO IDEA that he was even nominated by the team!!! it was pure gold… congrats dave, you deserve it man!!!
I never knew who he was until the award. But iv’e seen him everywhere and always wondered who he was. He’s always behind the scoring table and I agree that it is well deserved. (P.S. His “Got Roots?” sticker on his laptop is cool too)
Sorry to go off topic… where would you possibly get a sticker like that… sounds like a lust object hahaa but seriously not something you see everyday I am interested
Dave’s a cool guy. The Tick Chicks and I got a picture with him at Bash @ the Beach

Definately very happy to see Dave win at UTC. I’ve been fortunate to have had the chance to work with Dave and the rest of the 121 crew on many occasions, and I assure you he is a class act…even if him and his crew did whoop my team’s kiester in bowling.
Congrats Dave, you deserve it!
It was only by like 200 points Andy. Not too bad. lol
I only met Dave in Manchester, but from talking to him since and from different compliments I’ve heard about him, I can tell this award was definitely deserved. Here’s to a great guy (don’t be so nervous!)
