How is everyone speading their Valentine’s Day?
4-6 hours of labor and programming to get a running practice bot…yep.
My son gave me a valentines with a lolly pop before work, full work day, then 4+ hours of finishing wiring and assembly.
Work… Then robots… then a quiet night of shooting people in the face on XBL.
Driving 45 minutes to Pontiac High School, working on getting software tested, then driving 45 minutes back home. Typical night.
Finish a take-home test, meet with my senior design team, then home and work on homework before bed.
working from 3 to 10
Get Valentine’s day present from wife before leaving for work. Non-contact IR thermometer, two unscuffed pairs of safety glasses for competitions, bag of York peppermint patties. She understands me.
Side trip on way to work to get necessary flowers and chocolate.
Work.
Leave a little early, go home, put flowers in vase and surround with chocolate.
Go to robotics and work a few hours.
Go home and thank wife again.
Gave wife her Breaking Dawn DVD… Special edition. …I know, marvel at my willingness to sacrifice. Gave her a card and a strawberry cream cheese king cake. Ill leave the school, go home and pick up the annodized aluminum she is getting for us, cook some meatloaf and mashed potatoes, Kiss my two kids at home, go to the buid site for a brief three hours of competition bot building and then home to create an epic AP Human Geography test for my students and sing the prerequisite lullabies to the kiddos.
Spending the night with my girlfriend at Robotics Makes life easier when you’re dating someone on the team.
I got the robot a beautiful bouqet of PWM cables. Then I put them on her. she likes it.
I received a lovely flower arrangement (that was delivered to the school) from my wonderful perfect amazing boyfriend who also is the head programmer on the team. <3
Also, robots.
Robots for the next six hours.
Posting robot poetry to my girlfriend…and learning why I do robotics and not poetry!
Spending 3 hours in the build room, routine by now.
Also writing love poetry to my robot, but that is fairly normal for me.
Haha I tried that twice when I was student.
But I woke up, took a shower, got ready, ate some food, went to robotics… Spent 6+ hours at robotics and now I am getting ready to skype with my girlfriend before I move onto some SC2, WoW or HoN!
My girlfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day last Saturday so it is already over for me!
i get candy… but im allergeic:mad:
I’m listening to the song I want to put on our possible robot video to on repeat to see if I like it while putting the finishing touches on our RCA. (Trust me, sentences in the essay are more well-structured than that last one)
I try to be calm and jokingly take my position of “I’m just the PR guy,” at this point in build, then earnestly remount transmissions and wheel assemblies in prep for our belated first runs like a good little worker bee/team captain/senior.
Errands and a test in one of my classes. Got a small phone date with my sailor and a cheesecake from my mom. Now trying to overcome my migraine with the team.

I’m with you. But now we’re alone together!
