Valued CD members

Over the last year, Chief Delphi has been an extremely enlightening place for me. I have learned so many things this year, not just from my mentors, and from the people associated with my teams, but from all the members here on Chief Delphi. All of the members on Chief Delphi are what makes this wonderful environment possible. There are more than 4200 registered members on this wonderful site. I personally want to thank each and every one of you for all the ideas that you express, on all of the wide variety of topics. You members not only make it possible to explore different aspects of FIRST, but also discuss everything for summer projects to the bad weather in the Midwest. All of you members out their contribute to a wonderful environment that is extremely important to FIRST and to all of us robo-geeks out their that have a little to much time on our hands. For this I thank each and every one of Chief Delphi’s members.

In addition, I would like to personally thank some members that make Chief Delphi a wonderful place. Without these members CD would not be same.

Clark Gilbert – Clark spends a lot of his time in the Chit-Chat section and his posts are clean and are nice to read. He is a very active member with more then 1200 posts.

D.Fahringer – Although you have only posted a little more than 50 times, each and every post is an extreme asset to CD. You’re knowledge of how to build a Segway astonishes me. I look forward to reading every post of yours.

Weedie – With over 600 posts, you are a wonderful member that says what’s on her mind. You are a real asset to CD.

Brandon Martus – Well what can I say about you? We all know who you are, and without you CD would not be possible. Thanks for all you’re hard work.

M. Krass – You bounce around a lot on the boards. You have a wide variety of knowledge on many subjects. I think you are a wonderful member whose opinion is much respected.

Jonathan Lall – You’re posts show you’re knowledge of computers. I can definitely believe that you’re 188’s webmaster. I love all of you’re posts, and respect them greatly.

Wayne C. – Not only do you coach a wonderful team, you spark very interesting discussions on CD. Thanks for all your posts Wayne.

Ryan_team710 – If I had to select the best CD member, you would be a serious contender. I consider you a jack-of-all-trades. You jump throughout the boards, commenting on just about every type of topic. You are truly a great asset to CD.

Goosefrom71 – You are not just a valuable member of team 71, you are a valuable member of CD. I want to thank you for all of your nearly 200 posts. I always find them wonderful to read and interesting.

Rob Colatutto – With 600+ posts, you know FIRST inside and out. I think you make a great member of CD, and you’re team is lucky to have you.

Adam Y. – Here is another member that floats around throughout the boards. Adam keeps his posts to the essentials. CD is lucky to have you as a member.

FotoPlasma – When I first came to CD, I saw that you were very knowledgeable. Your more than 1400 posts that occur in just about every type of forum keep CD members reading you’re advice and comments. You would be a wonderful addition to any team, and 258 is very lucky to have to as a member.

Sanddrag – You are a member that keeps the electrical section of CD running. You’re knowledge of many technical subjects makes you a much respected member of CD.

Elgin Clock – You’re another guy that jumps around on the boards. I respect you’re post immensely, and always look forward to reading you’re posts. Thanks for the 1200+ posts.

Andy Baker – I respect you not only as a member of CD but as a wonderful member of the whole FIRST program. You and you’re team show what FIRST really means. I want to thank you for not only you’re 500 posts, but for the team that you coach and engineer.

Amanda Morrison – Although we have somewhat argued before, I respect each and every one of you’re posts. Prank Monkeys is lucky to have you as a member, as well as CD.

Note: I am sorry if I forgot mentioning you. If I did, I deeply apologize. In my mind, every member of CD is worth mentioning, if only I had enough time to type it all.

Once again, I would love to thank every Chief Delphi member. I look forward to all of you’re posts each and every day.

Thanks for that great comment. When i started reading this post i didnt think i would see my name. Thanks alot it means alot and that someone actually listents to my nonsense

I thought I was non-existant in the world of CD. Usually all I ever hear is ‘warnings’ from team mentors about discussions on CD… or teammates questioning my rants.

Thanks a bunch for noticing me!

Thank you.

Nothing but awe. Its not everyday that I am impressed by a total stranger (much less impressed at all), but I am today. I want to thank you for taking the time to thank all these wonderful people for their service to this community. Its something we, as learners, often forget to do. Once again, nothing but awe.

Not a problem. As I’ve said in the past, I wouldn’t be putting time into this if you all weren’t here to keep it active, productive, and informative. And, to reiterate what Joel said, thank you for taking the time to thank everybody. An occasional pat on the back is always a good thing.

Thanks a lot Greg!

Glad to be of help whenever I can… even if you just called me a geek. Thanks for being a good CD citizen yourself with this post.

Wow. I really appreciate the honor. It is not everyday (or ever for me) that a near stranger takes time out of his or her day to recognize what I and others do. I am just so, oh I can’t even find a word for it. I’ve had a rough few days and I can’t begin to tell you how much this means to me. Thank you so much.

I know darn well that I’ve taken far more out of these boards than I’ve put in but I still have a ways to go. One day soon the numbers will reverse.

Today marks the day that I’ve been here for just one year, although it seems like it has been a lifetime. I look forward to the next year of my membership taken to an even higher level.

Every one of my 1043 posts thus far have been purely for the passion of the hobby, and the benefit of the community. I must have spent a grand total of over a month of my life here on these boards just in the past year.

I have taken so many tardies to class just because I knew someone out there in FIRST was waiting for an answer to an important question and I had it.

There is hardly half a day that goes by without a trip to these familiar orange and gray colors on my screen.

I know that with every one of my posts several of you will be reading. That’s why I do it. Of all of you on these boards, I have only met two of you in person. But I still know what is inside of each and every one of you that makes me keep returning here like my home address is a URL.

It is so wonderful to be thanked.

I look forward to continue helping all those with inquiring minds, and I look forward to having mine inquire as well.

Life is full of questions. This board brings more. And the great part is, from Brazil to England to Canada to California to Manchester, we are all in this thing together, and can meet at this common place to answer them.

I am truly honored, and I thank all those who have helped the Chief Delphi forums become what they have today.

Sincerely,
sanddrag

PS. If you all were wondering where my CD name comes from heres how the story goes. One year ago, I was had a couple browser windows open; one Chief Delphi and the other the Auto Recycler. I was reading a thread on here that I felt that I really needed to reply so I decided to register. In the Auto Recycler window was a Jeep for sale that had been modified for drag racing on the beach. Back on CD, I figured that all the good names would be taken and need a number or something to get an available one. So, I needed something unique but easy to remember. The first thing that hit my mind was sanddrag, so there you have it, and here I am.

I can’t possibly write something as eloquent as Sanddrag just did, but I’d really like to try to express my gratitute at this kind of honor.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. All it does is make me feel better about trying to give assistance and advice where it seems to be needed.

Again, and I can’t stress this enough, I am very honored and thankful at being mentioned.

Thanks Greg.

You’re not so bad yourself.

Thanks, Greg. I definitely appreciate your kind words and comments. Keep up the good work!

Andy B.

Thanks Greg. And all this time I didn’t think anyone was noticing me aside from my team and close FIRST friends. Feels great to know that people know who I am.

Dude that is awesome you should amend your list to include yourself for your great display of Gracious Professionalism.

Thank you:). Though sometimes I would type some really asinine things on occasion.

How come I never make these lists? Oh yeah… that’s because I just spam my way up to the 1300 level or so…

Very nice list, it’s good people take notice and acknowledge the good guys.

I salute all of the people on the list and you too Greg. Keep up the good work everyone!

Ohhh cmon Waegelin, you get noticed too… What would CD be without Jeff?

Greg-
It’s great of you to mention these people. They are what makes this community great, where would we be without them?
So… thank you Greg.
