Valve Requirements

Our team is using an another valve model for the competition, can you write the requirements that we need in this valve to pass inspection ?

I understand this post is categorized under pneumatics, but it wasnt immediately clear to me what you meant by “valve”.

That said, all the rules are in the manual, so I recomment reading that. Theres an entire section of Robot rules dedicated to pneumatics. It would be fruitless for any of us to simply reiterate them for you here.

If you have questions about a specific pneumatic solenoid valve and whether its legal, please post a link to the specs for that valve (or at least a manufacturer and model number) and describe what about it you think might not be legal.

Thanks for your feedback, I’m sharing the data sheet of the valve

That datasheet is somewhere generic in that it coveres 5 different models. What part number specifically are you planning to use?

The specs listed look like they should be fine to me. I haven’t done a complete review since it’s 5am here and I would need to do unit conversions, but the working pressure seems to be in the right range at least. Youll also want to ensure you’re using a DC12V or DC24V model, and have the PCM or PH configured for the correct voltage.

(Disclaimer: I’m not a robot inspector this year, nor am I your robot inspector. It remains your responsibility to know and ensure compliance with the rules)

Thank you so much for your answer and we are using the 4V120-06 model.
