According to the Vex website, the weight of the integrated encoder is 0.25lbs. This puts it at 0.05lbs heavier than a ring gear and a gearset, which Vex lists at 0.2lbs. This seems like it is inaccurate (the gearsets are steel and the ring gears are aluminum, while the encoder is almost entirely plastic), but I’m not currently at my team’s shop to be able to verify it myself.
Is the listed weight accurate for the integrated encoder? If not, does anyone have a more accurate weight for it?
