Vex Hex shaft collar upgrade

We at 7226 use an unhealthy amount of shaft collars. My personal favorites are the ones that come from Vex:

Unfortunately, we have a problem where the hex head bolt strips right out, before even getting very tight. Now, we’re not using the best Allen wrenches, but we are using good ones. Even my anti-strip Allen wrenches didn’t help much.

Our solution was to get replacement bolts with Torx Plus heads from McMaster:
4-40 x 3/8”

The head is an IP10 Torx Plus. We got a nice set of Wera Kraftform screwdrivers from Amazon:

We have tried it out and it works really well. No stripping issues (if you use the right driver, IP8 and IP9 looks like the fit but they don’t and will strip), plus we get more holding power out of them

I hope this helps anyone having a similar issue
