VH-109 to VH-113 Conversion: firmware update not quite right?

Curious if anyone else has encountered problems with this process?

I tried updating a VH-109 with the VH-109_AP_PRACTICE_1.2.6-11102024 firmware, following the procedure at the VividHosting website. After successfully uploading the firmware, the radio rebooted several times, but it never got to a state where the SYS led was blinking at 1Hz. Instead, after a minute or two, the PWR and SYS LEDs remained solid green, and 6G LED solid blue.

The page at 192.168.69.1/configuration loaded and presented options for choosing VLAN sets along with the six SSIDs for the red and blue teams, so I changed those as desired, and applied. The /status page indicated that those settings had taken, but the radio was not broadcasting any of the SSIDs (used a 6G scanner to verify), even though the 6G LED was blue, and none of the /status SSID config blocks had an associated MAC address, etc.

I re-flashed back to the standard AP firmware and that worked fine. My second and third attempt to apply the AP_PRACTICE firmware were equally fruitless.

Thanks for any advice!

Good point. I don’t think we actually documented the AP firmware LED behavior. This is normal.

DM me and we can look into the practice FW issue. This is a first that I’ve heard of. It’s extremely strange that the standard AP FW worked and the practice one didn’t.
