Victor 885

Can you use the victor 885 motor controller?

Thanks All!

Unfortunately 883s and 885s are not legal, mainly because they have a much higher current supplying capacity. 884’s and 888’s are still legal.

Don’t discard your 885’s though, they are highly sort after for use in Combat Robots due to their current capacity.

883 and 885 controllers are not legal, primarily due to the need to disable output under FMS. 883 had been the standard FRC controller for the first part of this century. FRC was responding to recommendations from the manufacturer when they changed rules for these controllers.

The Victor 883 was legal from 1999 to 2003. It replaced the Tekin REBEL and was replaced by the Victor 884.

Tekin REBELs and Victor 883s were legal in 1999 with two of each in the KOP.
Four Victor 883s were in the 2000-2002 KOPs.
Victor 883s were legal in 2003 with the Victor 884, but only the Victor 884 was in the KOP.
