Is there any way to use the Edurobot controller with Victors?
We would like to have a driving robot to practice with…we have a dummy wooden one…and now that we can keep the Operator interface we would like to use the edurobot interface on it.
I don’t think we can do this but I would like to know for sure.
We are a rookie team and do not have any other robot interface to use…
thanks

The motors of the EduBot have victors built in.

No, they don’t. They are powered by the same PWM signal that the Victors use, but the similarities stop there.
I don’t think the Victor will work on the EduBot battery pack. And the EduBot probably would not work well on a 12v battery.
But I think it should work for the Victor to draw its power from a 12v battery, while connecting the PWM cable to the EduBot.
So it might be possible to just power the victors from the regular 12 volt battery and just connect the PWM from the edurobot controller?
Who could I check with to find out if this won’t hurt the edurobot controller?
thanks for the idea!!!

We were able to power the EDU bots motors from the robot controller and a 9v battery. You are just reversing it and I don’t think there will be any trouble.
