This year, the first three Georgia district events (Columbus, Albany, and Dalton) were webcast using Youtube. This was great, as the quality was superb, and the video was immediately (and permanently) available for review. I have looked, and cannot find video of the Kennesaw event. It looks as though a different service was used for the webcast.
Does anyone know if the matches are or will be available on-line?
GeorgiaFIRST posted a link to KSU’s live feed on their Facebook page on Saturday morning. However, when I tried opening the link on Saturday night, KSU’s live stream website displayed an error message and would not stream. In addition, GeorgiaFIRST doesn’t have the video on their YouTube channel, so unfortunately, I don’t think there is any video of the Kennesaw district event other than the KSU live stream, which likely is offline and not recorded.
Toaster Tech took video of most (but not quite all matches). They are full field videos, and will be stripped of sound and will be lacking the scoreboard overlay. I believe the quality for the first few videos is slightly below that of the later matches as our camera man adjusted what he was doing. I anticipate we’ll have them uploaded sometime tonight, but it may not happen until tomorrow.
I believe we have all the qual matches, and are just missing a couple of matches in elims. We also have videos of Columbus we should be putting up on the same channel. I’ll drop a link in here when we get it up and going.
I didn’t talk much with the AV people at Kennesaw, but at the other district events they where recorded independently of the live feed. I suspect the same was done at Kennesaw. If so it will eventually make its way the internet. With the short lead to District Champs it might not be this week.
Toaster Tech has uploaded what we have now for Columbus and Kennesaw. We don’t have every match, but personally I prefer the full field view for the matches we do have.
