Sorry for another finals video request, but 2003 was my first year in FIRST and I didn’t see any of the footage from the championship event.
Anybody have any links for any footage, especially from Einstein?
I’m trying to put together information for new mentors from AVL to see how you go from the video annimation shown at the kick-off to what wins at the championship event.
2002 and 2003 are good examples, IMHO, where the goal of the game falls apart to a simple strategy (2002 just grab the mobile goals and maintain control forgetting about the balls, 2003 clear the crates and own the ramp forgetting about stacking).
I came across all the matches from Archemedes, but none of the Einstein matches. If those will help you, let me know what you’re looking for in the video and a way to get them to you and I’ll see what I can do (files are between 7 and 11 Mb each in 320x420 .asf format). I believe that these came from the SOAP feed.
I also have 111’s matches at GLR if you’re interested. There are a couple of great battles between us and 469 including the one where our wing got destroyed :ahh:
If there’s anybody out there that wants to host the videos in some shape or form, let me know and I’ll upload them when I get the chance.
I don’t have time to grab all of the videos, but I’ll bring the Archimedes tourney videos to work with me to whet the appetite (yes, that’s the correct spelling of whet…I learned something new this week )
EDIT: On second look, I only have the Archimedes tourney videos that 111, 469, and 65 participated in.
HOT has some videos from the past few years on their website. http://www2.huronvalley.k12.mi.us/schools/mhs/activity/hot_team/hot_video_gallery.htm
They’ve got video from GLR, all the way through the GLR Finals.
I’ve got a bunch of Newton videos, up to Newton Finals, on my hard drive. If you want them PM me and we’ll set up a file transfer.
Thanks Pat. I downloaded some from your site and I think it will do the job. Between the videos of 111 and yours, I can really get across the coolness of some type of swerve drive…3 or 4 wheel…
I may have the final match or two from Einstein on my harddrive… I will check when I get home from school tomorrow to see if I still have it backed up somewhere.
