Videos from Robot at Boilermaker

We want you to see some of our videos our robot took using the Axis Camera during a legal.

We saved the images our camera saw during the competition, onto the 2GB “hard drive”, then after the match, we retrieved the seperate images (one match of 160x120 images takes up about 1000 images and 15MB) and combined them into a video player made just for this purpose, and after showing them to judges and other people, converted them to a “Real” movie file, where we uploaded them to here. Sunday I will post Saturdays matches that are good.

I have a question about the lighting at Boilermaker. At Peachtree, there were rows of incandescent lights suspended from the ceiling on both sides of the field just for the event. These lights prevented the camera from seeing true colors. We have yet to be able to solve this issue to our satisfaction. In your videos, I didn’t see any incandescent lights. Our camera is aimed upward so that it can see the trailer target when we are in contact with the trailer, and yours seems to be horizontal. That may explain why I didn’t see the lights in your video. Were there in fact such lights at Boilermaker? If so, what settings did you use on the camera to get such good color? No matter what we did, we ended up with a washed out looking image, with two slightly different shades of gray instead of pink and green.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, did you solve it?

after we decided to stop using our camera for tracking, we pointed it down and took video with…

the lighting at UCF wasent a problem for us…

Yes there were. At least as long as the power was on.

Quite right there. :stuck_out_tongue:

At least the pits and our scouting server didn’t go down…

Oh the pits went down too. We were scrambling to find a place for batteries after the power went out.

Might want to check your website.

First - this is the fourth or fifth team website I’ve seen that puts a big “update your browser” sign up when you visit it. It’s annoying, and totally unnecessary for a well written website.

Beyond that - I’m using firefox 3.0.7 - so not only is it annoying and unnecessary, it tells me to use a browser I’m already using. So it’s broken. The video won’t run because it thinks I’m using an ‘old’ browser.

Yes, I need to fix that, if you dont’t have flash installed, it will say that
