Vision from player station?

During week zero did anyone get a video of what the vision of the goal is from the player station?

How about an official Field Tour Video, available the day of Kickoff?

there was discussion in this thread

one quote

“Lining up for a long shot without a camera from anywhere but the station closest to the trench run is difficult. Teams should take advantage of their controller cord lengths and be moving around the driver station to get the view they need.”

Is there a rule for how far you can go?

Yes, be sure to read the rules. I think they mention something like half the width of your driver station, away from your driver station, is reasonable, but more than that is not. So read the rules, to make sure.

Yeah. You’re not allowed to leave your station, but you can move around within your own station. Maybe even swapping driver and operator positions depending on the station. Mess around with it and find something that works. I also found the VR field to be incredibly accurate to the real one in terms of driver visibility. If possible I suggest taking advantage of that.

You be correct. C10 blue box.

Here’s from a wooden field week zero.

We did not have a camera on our robot a week ago at a scrimmage, and lining up the robot for a shot anywhere other than from station 3 was really difficult…but we got the camera on for the scrimmage yesterday, so much better. Especially when the robot self aligns when the driver pushes the magic button. But even having a driver camera, as we used during sandstorm last year, is pretty much a necessity.
