Does anyone have any experience with volunteering at a Regional event as a group?
I’m an alum, and now part of a sorority for women in engineering and related fields (i.e. physics and chemistry). We’re based in Boise, Idaho, which also happens to be where the Idaho Regional is held, and are discussing volunteering on field reset or something similar on Saturday. Is there a way to register as a group? Or should we all register separately and just show up together?
You can call the Volunteer Coordinator for the event and express your interest to volunteer as a group but you will all have to register in VIMS individually.

When you’re registering individually there’s a spot to indicate organizations. You can also leave a note in the comments.
But, if you want to send in a group… find out who the Volunteer Coordinator for Idaho is, and send them an email. (The Regional Director can help you out.)
There’s another catch here: if you can only volunteer for one day, make sure to choose roles that will allow you do only be there for one day. Field Reset does allow that, but it’s recommended to do >1 day so that the Field Supervisor and his crew don’t have to train new people every single day. This is another good reason to talk to the Volunteer Coordinator–if you say “I have a group of X, and we can only do one day”, the VC will find something.
