Hello everyone.
We are having an issue on one of our laptops, running vscode. While everything normally works, we have seen now on at least 3 occasions where clicking on the WPI VSCode desktop launch icon , which we have pinned to our taskbar, simply does not launch the environment. We have tried rebooting the pc, to no avail. Then after trying again and again, with reboots etc, suddenly it will launch.
I even tried reinstalling the enviroment by repeating the installation steps, after uninstalling vscode. When I did that , it still did not want to launch, then mysteriously did launch.
I can’t seem to figure out what is happening, and since this is our programming laptop, it would be a bad thing to have this happen at a competition, let alone during the build season.
Any ideas what I can try. I have not been able to reproduce this on a couple of other pcs that I have purposed for this, but one of my students, did experience it with her pc. And since we have seen this at least 4 times in the first week, I fully expect this to happen again.
I am not in front of the “offending pc” now, but it is a HP laptop and if anyone needs software details of the pc, let me know.
