I am so excited for kick off. I just can’t believe it is so far away! It seems like I wait forever just to get back into the planning of this event. This year is extra special for me because it is my first year as team captian! I just wanted to share my love of FIRST and this seemed like a good place to do it.

Time will go faster than you think. Enjoy the waiting.
The wait will make the event even sweeter.

Start some rumors here or talk to others and post what is going on that is of interest to others.

What is your team doing in the off seson?
At Chief Delphi we are planning the 4th Annual Chief Delphi Invitational. Want to come? It is a great event, a FIRST like competition. We give teams a box of parts and they build a robot in a week of so and play a game in an event that rivals most regionals with big screen TV, DJ for sound, screeming students. This year FIRST teams will be bringing in a non-FIRST team as a partner. We will be fully remote controlled with a lot of high tech stuff to work with.

More details go to the CDI Forum on this site and download the information.

How could you say that? God, if only we had MORE time!

Just look at it from the poor team’s perspective. Two months isn’t close to enough time to peddle the streets of berkeley. Especially not if we need 9K just for registration. So through my eyes, kickoff seems sooner than my wednesday midterm (or my tuesday midterm next week)! Too bad it doesn’t rain gold around here… =P

Good luck leading your team! It’s a lot of fun…

I thought it DID rain money out there in Silicon Valley, only they called it Venture Capital

By the way, I heard a story on NPR on my way home about the CIA funding some key tech companies in the hopes of putting the technology to the use of the spooks abroad.

Perhaps you should give them a jingle? All they can say is no. That is unless you believe all that X-file stuff, in which case, you may want to pass on the phone call to our friends at the Central Intelligence Agency
