I am posting this on behalf of my team’s mentor who does not have an account here. He is having trouble getting on to the FRC Q&A and asked me to ask around about whether or not walkie-talkies are allowed at competitions this year, as they do not seem to be expressly prohibited. Also, if anyone has any advice on how to get onto Q&A, that would be very helpful.

I am not FRC Q&A, but I think they would be discouraged. They are likely used in many regionals to coordinate people.

Section 4.15 of the Administrative Manual lists some common site restrictions. One of them says
Do not use walkie-talkies.
