WatchFirstNow Process?

Does anyone here know how WatchFirstNow determines what it casts and what it archives? They did a great job with Waterloo this season, but our team won its first blue banner in Windsor and there is nothing online. Just wondering…

I was told they had videos from North Bay 2016 and was told they could be put up, but then never heard from them again. It’s pretty difficult to get in contact with them from my experience.

Well if you’re looking for match videos of the eliminations (no quals) they have turned up here

Those are low rez, was hoping to get HD to use in our year end wrap video. 610 shot their own, maybe I’ll just try and combine the 2.

The archives on WatchFIRSTNow are hit or miss.

In regards to North Bay 2016, WatchFIRSTNow had full archives from 2014 & 2015, so I was under the assumption that 2016 would also be posted. I asked several members of the Planning Committee, who in turn asked FIRST Canada and a few others if the archives would ever be posted, and we never got a solid answer.

2017 Events Currently Available: Durham, Ryerson, Victoria Park, & Waterloo
2017 Events Currently Missing: Georgian, Western, Windsor, North Bay, McMaster

It could be that they just need more time to process the videos, but unfortunately, its also possible the archives will never be posted.

Just remember that WFN is run by one FRC mentor who does it in his free time. Chopping up a live stream into individual matches is a lot of work. The blame should really be put onto FIRST for not having a standardized process for match video recording by now.

It’s actually pretty quick and easy with the right program.

Gord if you want the raw video from our recordings at Windsor just shoot me a PM and I can get it send over to you guys. https://www.youtube.com/user/Team610/videos

At 610 we record all of our matches mainly for match strategy/review at the event, but its nice to have a record of all our matches on youtube.

It would be great to have a record of every match on youtube in a standard system like Michigan, but with how well the first year of Districts have gone so far in Ontario its hard to complain. I’ll poke some of the higher ups about it, maybe it’s something we can work to implement for future years in Ontario.
