Watergame 2018 Confirmed?

Yesterday I came across this on the FIRST website. Apparently, https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/fll/challenge-and-season-infoJrFLL and FLL are having water themed games. Is this the year for FRC?

Post #64 on talks about this. Interested few pages.

Also, FIRST Global is doing H20 Flow as their game this year. But with FTC doing Relic Recovery as a exploration/jungle theme I don’t know anymore.

Water + exploration = pirate?

I would say it is not. Even though I still want one in my 3 more years of FRC. The games between the levels are never related.

False. 2015 FRC Recycle Rush, FLL Trash Trek, Jr. FLL Waste Wise. However a true water game in the boat sense is unlikely.

Think that Relic Recovery confirms an Indiana Jones/jungle game, 2019 will be space because of the Apollo anniversary.

I get the water game joke. It was funny for a while. But at this point, if FIRST actually made a water game, with actual water, would anyone want to participate?

Yes, without a doubt.

… but it still won’t happen

Yep, the Lunacy re-hash. Can’t wait!

And Lunacy 10 year anniversary. Please don’t make that my senior year…

Well, I know that a couple weeks ago, AndyMark posted on its Snapchat story testing bag or cim motors in a shallow tub of water.

It’s a “water game” with blue and orange balls (kinda like what you would find in a ball-pit) They might do something similar in FRC to appease the crowd but I don’t think it would be exactly what the FRC community wanted, debatable I suppose.

Here’s the reveal video for the FGC “water game:”

I mean we “took flight” this year…

FIRST put the video on its blog today.

Edit: Just saw the other thread on this.

I guess it’s confirmed then.

It’s confirmed that Frank can be a bit of a troll. Not much we know past that, I’m afraid.

That was risky… derailing the watergames hype train?

I mean if the Daly Division has taught me anything this year…
