I was watching Meet the Press this morning, and there was a GE commercial highlighting their public service efforts. Of the three things they highlighted, one was about a FIRST team. It showed a robot (#187 or #197?) moving across a field, no action other than that and not much detail, but it was exciting all the same.
Way to go guys - its regular commercials and popular TV (Meet the Press is popular isn’t it? :)) that will keep this thing growing. I can’t wait to see a commercial illustrating the huge excitement of a competition.

Cool! I’ll have to keep my eye out for it! Every sponsor should be proud of their involvement with FIRST!

It would be great if someone could capture the commercial and make an MPEG file of it for all of us to see. I will keep my VCR ready in case I see it.

Raul,
The commercial has been running every weekend on Meet the Press. The robot is a few seconds in the middle of a commercial about volunteerism at GE.
I have seen it a couple of times, but I keep forgetting to mention it on the site.
Bye the way, the GE team in KY is an off shoot of Chief Delphi. My old boss, Bob Baughman, co-lead the Chief Delphi team in 96 our first FIRST year. He moved on to GE after that year and started a team down there.
Well done Bobby.
