Here are some images of what I did to organize 177’s team tools and travel setup. I wanted drawers for organization because I wanted the setup to travel well. Big rolling tool boxes a PITA to move so I didn’t want to go that route. I had been looking at these liteweight plastic tradesman style tool boxes from Dewalt and Milwaukee, but finally pulled the trigger with Packout when they released the drawers because they fit our needs perfectly. The fact I can break down the stack into sections that can go in almost any vehicle and they are light enough to easily move by anyone are huge pluses. Also the boxes are water tight if closed properly. The other good thing is that we can easily add boxes as needed and there are a lot of different options to fit our needs. There are some cheaper options, but if you look at what you can get and your needs I think this system is currently the the best and has the most options. Prior to the drawer release i would have recommended Dewalt tough system because they were the only ones with drawers.
We color code our common wrench sizes for both Allen and combination wrenches for the ability to quickly find them in the shop, so all the items are tagged with a paint marker and the slots that they go in are colored to match.
The foam and the tools mostly came from https://www.kaizensource.com where you can get foam blanks precut for most of the common trade tool boxes like the Milwaukee Packets we used or the the equivalents from Dewalt, Rigid, and others. (All of these systems are made by Keeter in the same factory in Israel). The last photo shows the Kaizen Tools used to cut the tool locations in the foam also from Kaizen Source, which is local here in CT but ships e everywhere.
