Hey teams, we are team 6353, 6940 and 6941 all from Shanghai and we are starting to make a wiki system to communicate and share info on FRC.
This is our website(https://wiki.firstrobotics.com.cn/), and we are deploying it on GitHub(https://github.com/FRC-China/FRC-Wiki), so I’d like to invite you to give suggestions and star our projects to make more people see our progress!
Would you be open to me adding this to useful links on frcZero.org? I dont have anything for Chinese translation content yet but the home page has a spot for all community resources I find. This definitely fits that list.
https://frczero.org/#important-links
Let me know!
Sure, you are always welcomed to add our links to the frczero! This is the very first Chinese-based wiki on FRC as far as I know, so it may really help teams from Chinese-native regions to start their FRC careers.
Great job
frc-docs is partially translated into Chinese thanks to some amazing efforts by the community. You can view the translated version of the site at FIRST机器人竞赛控制系统 — FIRST Robotics Competition 文档 (wpilib.org).
People wanting to translate can register at frc-docs localization | Transifex
Should see it added on the home page shortly. I added your team numbers and a link to the GitHub as well. Do you have team websites I can link to in the description?
Of course.
Team 6353 Zodiac, http://zodiac6353.cn/,
Team 6941 IronPulse Robotics, https://www.ironpulse.net/,
while Team 6940 Violet Z does not have its own website so I think you may add later.
Thanks!
Thanks for the advice, and it’s true that I’m also contributing to Transifex on the Chinese language team. Lots of fresh elements.
Hey guys, here is one of the main founder of this wiki from 6941👋
Also the main co-founder of FRC China Wiki and I’m the team leader of 6353!
We are aiming at providing Chinese teams with localized contents and making it easier for high schools to set up their new team.
Hoping this will help spreading FRC spirits in China!
Thank you for your reminding. Once we finished our content, we might contribute to the official frc-docs. But since our wiki not only contains the technical details, but also contains some experiences, how to establish a new frc team in China, for example, our wiki did have some sort of differences with the offical one.
Team links were added! If 6940 does get a website send me a message with the link! Definitely will be keeping an eye on the wiki!
On a side note. I did have a tremendously good laugh at how Google decided to auto-translate one of the websites.
I’m sure it makes much more sense in the original text. When I removed some of the words I finally got to root words Tool and Mechanical which I think was the intention. Maybe it was “Using tools as weapons”
Our website still have many things that need to be fixed😂, such as the images showing. I’m still working on binding Django admin site with the picture bed. But you reminded me that we need to do an i18n.
Utilize mechanicals as a bridge to dream, never fail the precious time of youth.
If you guys need any help to add or proof read design/mechinical content, please let me know.
I’m planning to be in Shanghai for a few days during next build season while visiting families.
Hope we have a chance to connect in person.
Sure! We currently need to decide the table of contents for sections. It would be great if you have any advice on that. It would be nice to meet you in person and revise these elements together!
I’m working on documents for my own team this summer for similar stuff.
It wouldn’t too much work for me to have a chinese version of it.
If you would let me know some of your thoughts or ideas, we can expand from there.
We can talk in DM or on wechat if you would like.
