Any word on a website design competition at nationals?
It’s not listed in the Awards PDF on FIRST’s site, so I’m going to guess there isn’t one.
yea i dont think it would be real practical to have a national website award, because it would be to cumbersome to judge all the websites.
oh ok, thanks
they should because one team could truly say they have the best robotics website
and who would that be?
I think they should have the judges vote for the ones that won at each regional.
They said that the website awards are student voted at regionals? and how does a team win who’s website is a year old and another team has videos from the previous regionals and live feed along with all the info on their bot (yes 108 im talking about you) how do they decide what students vote?

each team was supposed to make a voting panel and turn in (1) ballot of the website that they thought was the best at the regional
As I’ve said, yeah… there were problems with the award this year. The same thing happened with the animation award. They both were new, and it will take a few years to get a system in place that allowes the best site to be awarded.
For nats…
I don’t think there should be an award; or at least not for now. Get the regional one working, then figure out how someone would judge 300 teams. (I really don’t like the idea of judgeing just the winners like the chairmans award. At each event, I’d say there are like 5-10 good sites. Only one can win the regional, but they all should be judged again for nats.)
