Coordination of traffic flow is key
-
It is very easy for things to go awry at the Double Substation with fallen game pieces. Come up with contingency plans with your team and human player.
-
The Hybrid Nodes are the hardest row to see behind the glass.
-
Scan your community for game pieces on the floor just outside a Hybrid Node for an easy push in.
-
It flows better to balance on the Charging Station with robots entering from the middle of the field. This keeps your Community open for last minute scoring.
-
Double and Triple Balancing is a lot easier than expected - go slow and stay coordinated and it’s not as hard as it sounds. Make a button to limit your drivebase to a very slow speed and it will go a long way to ensuring success on the Charging Station.
-
Tipped Cones can be everywhere, but Cubes are harder to find mid match.
-
Charging Station points in endgame show up on the screen as they are scored. This makes it harder to track match deltas IF the other alliance has already Engaged/Docked and you are still making match play decisions.
-
It is extremely easy to get pushed by a defensive robot into their Loading Zone and you receive the penalty.
-
Keep track of your Grid. Think beyond Cone - Cube - Cone and remember it’s any three scored game pieces in the row to create a Link.
-
Take your time while putting Cubes/Cones on the Double Substation Shelf. If your Human Player rushes they can be partially on the shelf and fall of the shelf easier.
