Curious how many are seeing 4 rotors spinning amidst the week one regionals?
So far during qualifications Lake Superior had one during match 78.
Also one during the Superior semi finals match two.
Any others out there and how often?

4513, 3238, and 4495 got it during qual match 58.
Northern Lights had one during the 72nd qualification match. Featuring 5172, 3130 and 2512.
Also in Semi 1-1 at Northern Lights: 2512 876 and 27
Teams 1646, 4272, and 4982 just scored the first 4-rotor match in the Indiana district at the Tippecanoe event.
Huh. The towers are backwards from how it was at Southfield, and how it looks in the Game Manual:
We had the slot and free gear on the far side of the tower, which made autonomous placement significantly more challenging.
At the Palmetto Regional Team 283, 1287, and 1553 joined the 4 rotor club in Semifinals of Eliminations. The insane part is 1553, the alliance captain, played strictly defense and Team 283, the third pick, carried their weight and delivered 8 gears alone. See you at Bayou
Team 5687 got 3 4 rotor matches in quals and just got a 4 rotor match in QF 1-2 at granite state.
1 and 2 seeds at Granite State have both gotten 4 rotors.
5687 has had at least 5 4 rotor matches so far at Granite State.
Edit: Now at least 7 matches with 4 rotors
Do you mean 7 gears? If you mean rotors, then that team has outpaced all the rest of FRC by more than 100%.
I mean rotors. Seven matches that they’ve played in had 4 rotors turning by the buzzer.
Edit: Make that 8 matches where they had 4 rotors spinning. During their final match at Granite State, they managed to get 4 rotors spinning with one of their alliance partners not moving for most of the match.
At the New England Granite State District, 4 rotors was accomplished 11 times.
It was achieved 7 times in elims… 6x by the champion alliance of 5687-1058-4908 and 1x by the finalist alliance of 2084-95-3958!
Every match an alliance got 4 rotors, they won… in the two matches that the alliance of 5687-1058-4908 got “only” 3 rotors, they tied or lost. They scored 395, 435, 205, 445, 420, 395, 305, and 445… averaging 380 points!
The 4 instances of 4 rotors in quals were:
Q34 by 1100-1831-1058
Q59 by 5687-1729-138
Q62 by 885-5687-1058
Q69 by 5735-5687-1307
1058 and/or 5687 were present in all 10 instances of 4 rotors at GSD. Both were very efficient… 5687 designed their robot exclusively around gears and climbing, including a consistent auto gear placement. Their small, quick robot was handled very by well-practiced drivers. 1058 built a more multi-function robot, but their gear system - including active floor pickup - and their climber are what earned them the most points. 4908 was an integral part of their elim alliance, consistently contributing some gear scoring and regularly climbing.
Just pointing out the 2 seed of 2084, 95, and 3958 was able to get 4 rotors in their second quarterfinal match.
Holy shnikeys
We’ve scored 5 to 6 gears in most matches today and hit 7 gears in one.
Proud to be in this club!
Ack! I missed that match!
I updated my post to reflect the Finalist alliance also getting 4 rotors in one match…
Were these matches with defense being played? If so, how were you so efficient with defense?
Our efficiency came from using the floor instead of relying on the human player chute. This also allowed us to pick up gears our partners missed or ones that were discarded around the field.
Our typical match was 5-6 gears utilizing the HP station 75% of the time for our gears.
Wow… Any videos out there? I see they are not linked on the blue alliance yet.
