I think a lot of folks feel this gif this week… For those of you who didn’t actually melt - any wins?
I got my mid year review at work, it was positive. That’s always nice. I was concerned about being distracted by the whole moving across the country thing, but seems I pulled it off.
Started summer classes. Got a 97 on my first quiz. Hopefully I keep up. 14 week course in 6 weeks is brutally fast. Going well so far.
Moved into my first solo apartment. AC is not powerful enough. Other than that, living alone is not too bad. I do miss California fruit, though.
CMU Roboclub got a Langmuir MR1 this week, so I’m helping the Shopmaster find a place for all the displaced items, then figure out the build process. I’m also thinking of which officer positions to run for in Roboclub next year. Maybe I can get in a real position of leadership.
Also my friend got me into watching anime. So far I like what I’ve seen. Honestly I miss good stories (of any type), I used to read a lot when I was younger and it’s been a while. Watching them is a good second choice, I guess.
Anyway, programming assignment is due in like 16hrs. Hopefully I can figure this out.
edit: additional “win” - I have had my 1000th reply on CD (oh god, its this??)
edit 2: nevermind it still reads 999… im too tired for this will check in the morning
It’s a historical comedy, mainly centered around the presidency of John Quincy Adams, in which my brother plays every character. So many cloning shots. This is by far the most ambitious film I’ve ever made.
I filmed it last August, and am only now really getting to the majority of the work that needs to be done to finish it.
I started some work on learning how to program in Java (using the uni of Helsinki online course MOOC.fi) and got vs code on my laptop along with some resources it told me to download
I screw up how do I download wpilib to. Preexisting instance of vs code?
It’s possible but I wouldn’t recommend doing it, especially for someone inexperienced with VSCode and its extension system and software.
To elaborate: You can mess some things up (guess how I know) especially with the non-VSCode software installed by WPILib, and it doesn’t take that much extra storage and storage is cheap enough that it’s not worth it.
I was camping yesterday but managed to not melt, new leadership team and organizational changes for my team are looking great, the mate rov team is officially done after 22 years of 1157 the hippie bots-> boulder bots-> landsharks-> robosharks
