Mine is I had a positive review at work and was able to accept and resolve a a bug for a new feature at work without needing to ask for too much help. Even created a document for addressing similar issues in the future.
This has been a good week for me. After being stuck at home in a nation-wide lockdown for the past month or so, the harshest of the restrictions were finally lifted.
I bought all of the parts for my new custom-build computer yesterday. I had to drive 12+ hours to get them, but it was worth it. Looking forward to the adventure of putting my first computer together
Also, I made it back onto campus today to start the new semester on Sunday. Classes are all online (except some labs) and most people are learning from home, but it’s still nice to see the friends who are here (in a socially distanced way of course). I’m actually looking forward to having something to do with my time now, even if that something is 27 credits worth of homework.
Backyard birding - between a hummingbird feeder, a recently homemade birdbath (aka bowl of water and a solar powered fountain), and a seed feeder I’ve seen:
about a dozen house sparrows (they hop around between the feeder/bath and two different bushes)
a handful of chickidees (probably the same 2 or 3)
a hummingbird every 15-20 minutes (at least 3 unique birds)
The IT staff flipped my work email address from William to Billfred.
1293 has been approved to hold evening meetings again in early November, rather than right after school (which means I can’t be there). Current plan is to run for about 2 hours once a week.
Finished the (professional-level) reverse engineering challenge that I mentioned in last week’s thread and submitted 4 college applications. Now my free time exists again.
