What went well? Anything cool?
For me -
A new printer showed up and it’s been printing pretty well. Haven’t gotten it all the way through its paces fully.

Hit a major-ish milestone on a work project. Device is now functional, at least the part that’s together.
Signed a lease on a new apartment.
Now to move.
The temperature turned reasonable, so we can turn off the air conditioner.
And we didn’t lose anything in the freezer when the power was off for about 30 hours because of a fire in the substation.
No specific “wins”… but no losing either. Life is good.
Does paying for Tidal Tumble registration count?
Breaking ground today for what will hopefully be our new home in 2023
Got our new exchange student on Teusday!
Couple fun things.
We got our first student-designed PCB back and soldered it up. Has been a goal of mine for a while - for a student to learn ECAD.
We had the first 4272 alum (since I started mentoring) graduate with an engineering degree recently. Through some good timing…she starts as an engineer at Dana on Monday.
Anything you want to celebrate counts. Just had to be a win for you.
(Some exceptions apply - maybe try to keep politics out of it?)
Ordered some stuff to hopefully make a better lab sign in system than a clipboard with a paper. We will be using n̶f̶t̶ nfc tags along with a reader and raspberry pi.
Tested our new cnc, it works!
I finished my internship and drove back home only to be leaving it <48hrs later for vacation
All jokes aside, I had a really great time this summer in LA. The corner of LA I lived in really grew on me in more ways than one and I already miss it I feel so lucky to have worked with such an amazing group of fellow interns + coworkers and to have been given the space and support I needed to complete my project. I will miss baking for sprint reviews/planning, beach bonfires with @dydx @Prateek_M and @troy_dietz , and being cooped up in a way too small studio apartment with my roommate. Hopefully, the weekly win this time next year is moving back for a job
We at 6081 and 11193 have been moving into a new space over the summer, and things are finally starting to come together just in time for the beginning of the school year!
