Aside from just having another great week at work - I’m counting all my friends in Tampa and generally the southeast US being safe after the storm that came through. I know not everyone is as fortunate and there’s a lot of damage, but I’m celebrating what I can.
Be honest, if someone said “my dog did [super adorable thing]” do you really think there wouldn’t be a call for “dog tax” later? I’m just trying to preempt it.

I had a birthday yesterday, got a new HighTide hoodie with an SDS one on the way, and went to a ramen place for my birthday and had way too much food in the best way.
Good progress with a research project (Terabytes of climate data to work with and reference back to), those in charge/ supposed to be keeping tabs on me seem generally happy with where I am at and what I am up to.
Oh and starting to get the GF settled in to her new place for her career move!
It’s been a pretty chill week, finished an essay on time and I thought I did pretty well. Im also meeting up with my cousin for lunch this Sunday,as well as getting to play test again!
Biggest win though, I was made Varsity Captain of my Colleges Splatoon team! (After worrying I didn’t do well enough lmao)

Mom and I are in Athens, and FIRST Global is doing well.
Both our houses are largely unhurt by the hurricane. My house still doesn’t have power, so my wife has bailed to my mom’s. She’s working on an awesome sewing project with a deadline (no wonder she understands my robot life!), and while the tool battery pack inverter could power her sewing machine for a good while it couldn’t do the iron. So it goes.
I got to assemble a new 3D printer for a friend. It was fun discovering the features and calibrating it. After using cr6-se for 3 years I am amazed how much faster these things got.

Got 2 interview calls set up for Monday. Having some job hunt success has helped my stress a bit. Plus my resume got handed off to someone who’s willing to use their connections to help me
New member meeting: so many new kids joining the team and I can’t wait to work with them all! A lot are passionate about graphics and awards which makes me so excited
PNW Block Party 2024 was a huge success for the team. They got to compete with 2 robots with brand new drive teams. I had a good time seeing the kids have fun while I enjoyed seeing a lot of friends. Even my new boyfriend had a good time visiting the event
