Congratulations to ‘Mr. Bill’ Beatty on his WFA Award in 2001.
I have had the pleasure of knowing “Mr. Bill” for six years now. He has been a huge inspiration in my life and I’m sure that will continue for quite some time.
At one of our team banquets at the end of the year, members of the team were given various awards. Mr. Beatty was given the “Thinking Outside the Box” award, which was a figurine perched on a seat that was balanced WAY outside of this little box. Year after year he is able to come up with a way to play the game that is virtually unheard of. Despite the small entity that Beatty Machine and Manufacturing is, these crazy ideas become reality quite quickly and quite efficiently. Mr. Beatty has an uncanny ability to explain the complex in a way that is difficult to NOT understand.
Having spent four years under his guidance, I find myself emulating Mr. Beatty at times. I find myself saying things that I’ve heard time after time from him as well. I’ve even tried to continue “Mr. Bill’s Study Sessions” with Team 1064, though I am nowhere near as intimidating as Judge Bill!
Congratulations, Bill Beatty! Keep up the amazing work!

Bill,
Congratulations! Knowing Bill Beatty is one of those precious things in life. It is inspirational to meet someone who is professional but down to earth, serious about the mission but laughing about diversity. Bill is always happy to meet you and willing to talk about any subject. The success of the Hammond team is in no small part due to Bill’s involvement. Always a pleasure to see you, Bill. Next week to be sure.
P.S. I still remember what you told me after you won the WFA, you are modest too.
