I have a question to teams about how are you guys carrying robots off the field? I’ve seen some teams with handles or cords attached to clips. They seem to make transportation easier then just carrying the robot holding frame, our team robot is hard to grab due to our side shields and bumpers. If you have any good idea about better ways to carry the robot onto and off the field post them here, or if you have any place to find good handles for it also.
We put eye bolts on the corners of the chassis, then used these and some carabiners to hook into the robot. I might try to find some that don’t have that big metal ring, it’s a little annoying sometimes.
You should be able to fit some eye bolts into the robot somewhere near the corners.
We do the same thing as @BitSentinel but we made the handles out of a loop of rope and PVC. Works great and so much easier to lift
There isn’t
We put handles on our robot every year. I insist on it.
We do the handle and eyebolts- makes it MUCH easier.
We tried removable handles and eye bolts for a bit, but went back to permanent handles. They are just so convenient.
+1 for rope and PVC tube handles with S-hooks
We’ve added four of these kayak handles:
I think this is what we got: https://www.amazon.com/Antrader-Handles-Replacement-Accessory-Fixing/dp/B07NWBJNZ9/
