What are teams doing

I was wondering if there where any other teams going or staying a day more and if so what is there to do in atlanta??? 6flags is closed untill the weekends what is open and fun to do lets say on a wendsday??

One word:
Lockdown!
Thank God for video consoles and laptops!

our team is looking into going to six flags sunday beofre we leave if we can or some other tourist thing as a team.

Our team if offcially “breaking up into small groups” on wednesday(we fly in tues) but things i have heard are good are the Coke Headquaters, i went to the CNN center, and it was pretty neat, but short. Some of the malls are nice, although i don’t remember what ones we went to (3 in one day…)
Wish i could come with you guys to Six Flags, but i think my team leaves in the afternoon-time

We might go to a Braves game. And the Coke HQ and just look around.

yeah our team is also flying in on tuesday our flight out of here (CA) is at 10 and ist like a 5 or 6 hour flight so we should arive in atl around 6 or 7pm (ATL time) and my team was going to do something on wendsday because we desicede not to get the FIRST package and do our own thing and we are trying to find places to go and all the places we thought of so far are all closed in the weekdays so if and body gots any cool places let me know

There are plenty of places to go if you have transportation.
**Stone Mountain ** about 20min from downtown. Nice park area, 4-d theater, tons of other things.
Dave & Bustersabout 15min food and games including VR
World of Coke in downtown a museum about coke and connected to the underground Atlanta shopping center (mall and food)
Tons of shopping any direction from downtown within 20 min

The braves don’t play on wednesday, I believe we’re going on either friday or saturday. Should be a good series against the Marlins, although I bet we’ll all be too tired to really enjoy the game :stuck_out_tongue:

Hacky sack all day long and play some soccar and video games and just hang out around town

sorry no xbox in atlanta, that was awsome in cleveland you should have came over and played some halo… but i am bringing a laptop so that’ll take some time off…

this is a question for people who ever flew with a game system with them? How is the people at the air ports handel game systems I mean do they check them or just let u go or not let u on with is? because I wanna take my ps2 with me to Atlanta but im just concerend that thay might get suspious with a big black box but knowing its a ps2 but till want to open it up to see inside?? if anyone has an answer for that please let me know

They make you X-ray it as a carry on. they treat just like they do a normal laptop. Xbox LAN party at the marquis i cant watie!!

Are you planning on having it carry on or putting it with your checked luggage? Remember not to lock anything since they do random searches of luggage and if it’s locked they will break it open.

I was at Bradley back in June and they had someone several people in front of us take out a laptop and boot it up. Needless to say it would have inhaled audibly if the battery was dead or if it was removed from the laptop. I believe that was random too. I can’t picture them having everyone turn on thier electronic items before boarding.
I flew to Chicago in June and when I opened my luggage at the hotel there was a piece of paper in there telling me that they had searched my luggage. It mentioned that if it had been locked they’d have broken the lock. Most airlines websites will also have information mentioning how certain things should be packed and what’s banned for carry on.

well i was plaing on putting it with my checked bags because I have a big enough suite case that will fit a weeks worth of clothes, all my higene stuff, and my ps2+2 controlers+ all the hook ups+ my 6disk box game holder. which way would it be easier? with my bag or just put in another hand bag and take it as a carry-on

come one people… you are going to atlanta, and all you can talk about is playing video games?! :ahh: Go out and do something fun. You can play games every day of your life…

but its more fun when you cram 16 people into 4 rooms at night when there is nothing better to do and kick each other’s arse’s in a free-for-all… its fun just thinking about it… =D

On Sunday, right before our flight, we’re headed out to Coke HQ. I can’t wait to see all of the Diet Coke stuffs!

Diet Coke is the official unofficial beverage of team 121, and I’m really hoping we get to go to Coke World when we arrive in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon. Diet coke is the best!

I think you’d be better off putting it in your checked baggage and not carrying it on. Also with carry on some of those overhead compartments don’t have much space especially when you have others in the seats near you.
