my team is going to use quarter inch lexan cut out with a cnc. Two pieces will go on either side of a piece of 1x1 aluminum tube.
“lamented” is alot funnier than “laminated.”
Ours are two 3/8 mild steel rod, cold formed in a vise with a long pipe. Probably will put surgical tubing on them, but haven’t yet.

Plan is to have 2 colsons, with a 5 inch polycarb disc on either side of the colsons. Driven with a Neo 550 on a Rev Ultraplanetary.
Even though I want to make it out of carbon fiber, I think we’ve decided to go with aluminum.

My team was lucky enough to obtain some premium 1982 Hookium from the north side of the vineyard from our metal super market.
All joke aside, although it has not been designed yet, probably aluminum.
