Ditto here at FRC 1523… shirts are red, but when we have the option we usually go for a mix between orange and red to match our logo (below).

Our team colors are tie dye blue with red/ black lettering. The blue sure helps with finding lost team members!

I just noticed that we were in the original message, shows how much I pay attention! 
Orange and Black are the official colors of our team because they are the official school colors Our team shirts used to be a tie-dye orange. Three years ago; however, we made the switch to darker blue tie-dye (why blue? I have no idea) for our shirts. This year in Boston, we sported solid blue shirts on Saturday, in addition to our normal tie-dye on the other days. Our robot is usually orange and black, but the % of the robot painted varies year to year.
