What can we do about COVID-19?

These two links are articles about two separate universities that released cheap respirator plans that cost about 100 USD, and don’t have anything too crazy in terms of manufacturing. They’re basically mechanisms that can pump AMBU bags (emergency hand pump respirators) with some basic timing control with the small motor it uses. The plans from the MIT whitepaper haven’t been released yet, but the design should be fairly simple to replicate with less than a day’s work in CAD.
