I want to design a 3D model to design my team’s pit. I just don’t know what program to use that is easy and simple. Any suggestions?
We just use Solidworks, may not be the most practical but it works okay for us to visualize and see moving parts as well to line things up without having to put it together.

I dont think solidworks would be the best for something like pit imaging, I think youd be better off with Onshape. Its web based, has a million up to date tutorials and is good for almost anything cad based
It’s really just personal choice based on what software your proficient in. My team used Inventor to design ours.
