So, this is a really random question but where can I buy the ethernet cables used on the field/configuring for your radio.
Is there any reason you want those specifically? Any CAT5 cable should do the trick.
No, they just seemed super durable and had a really nice feel.
Ask your local FTA / FTAAs because the cables used to go from the SCC (Station Control Cabinets) to the driver station laptops are discarded usually after each competition due to the amount of times they are plugged and unplugged. They usually give some away to teams or people who ask for them. Those cables are obviously industrial and are usually incredibly expensive and you really can only buy them on eBay unless you are a company buying from a authorized distributor.
Of course. Because that’s where everybody buys their heavy-duty industrial cables.
I prefer to buy my heavy-duty industrial cables from Wish.com.
Here’s the label from a past Allen Bradley field cable if that helps. This one’s a 10’ cable, but the field also uses longer cables of that type.
Just one example online, although this one is probably a little short unless it’s for on robot use:

For your tethering cable, you best/easiest bet it to get flat cable. Most of them are stranded, and thus radically more durable than solid core (shudder).
This is the bee’s knees for tethering: Retractable Network Cable… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LW2YNJ4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Seconding this recommendation.
Affordable and convenient.
2017 Einstein cables may or may not be running my home network
