What happens if your intake touches another team's robot while climbing after the match?

right now your intake opens slowly after the robot is off and it could potentially gently touch a robot near us when we both climb, does that mean the climb is illegal or something?, thanku

I don’t entirely know what happens if the other robot is on the ground but I am pretty sure if the other robot is climbing it does not matter

I think you want to take a look at G205, which covers contact inside the framer perimeter, and G208, which covers protections while climbing.

You might review the last bullet point in section 6.4.1 and rule G209.

I think another place to look at is 6.4.1 which states the following:

A ROBOT may only earn points for a single RUNG. To qualify for HANGAR points from a given RUNG, a
ROBOT may only be contacting:
• RUNG(S) at that level or higher (i.e. the level is determined by the lowest RUNG with which a
ROBOT is in contact),
• truss structure,
• LAUNCH PADS,
• the ALLIANCE WALL,
• CARGO,
• guardrails, and/or
• another ROBOT qualified for any HANGAR points.

So if your intake touches any of these things no problem climb still counts.

One thing I think will be overlooked is that list does not have a ROBOT that is not qualified for HANGAR points. So if your intake hits a robot that is on the ground or anything else not on this list. You would not get hang points.
