What is supplied in the pits!

Hi,
Just looking for what is supplied in each pit for FRC championship. I/E, table size, outlets etc.
Thanks

Pretty much the same as regional. Size, table, one outlet.

Corn Dogs

— NOT! Although, if I recall correctly, in 2014, we got a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts one morning.

Table was most important, although Krispey Kremes would be good also.

It’s worth noting that at every event (that I know of anyways) there is nothing stopping a team from removing the provided table and using their own instead. If the size of the table is that critical to your pit layout it might be something to consider in the future.

We were given some lemon cake thing last year. It was fantastic and a great way to clog your arteries!

Check out section 4.7.4 in the admin manual for pit details:

Team Pit areas are the designated spaces where teams work on their robots. Each team is assigned a Pit space, which is marked with a sign containing the team number. This helps team members, judges and visitors find teams easily. Each team’s Pit will have a table and power outlet.

Teams, volunteers, FIRST staff and guests spend a lot of time in the Pit area. Get to know other teams, help each other when you can, and keep the aisles clear. Time is short and help is very often right “next door” in the adjacent team pits.

There were concession stands in the pit areas selling funnel cakes and lemonades, and corn dogs might even have been legitimately on the menu.

I know Team 1619 came to our pit on Thursday morning to find a mysterious butter cake sitting on our table. I never found out who left it, but it was delicious!

As for things that are provided from the start by the venue, it’s the same stuff as a regional. You get your standard table and an outlet.

In addition to a team number sign, table, and power outlet, you will also find several-foot-tall pipe and drape outlining the sides of your pit, plus taller drape separating the back from the pit of the team behind you, all color-coded by division.

There will be adequate lighting as well.

You will be likely to end up at the end of a row, meaning that there will be an aisle on the other side of some of the pipe and drape. Don’t let your stuff spill over and get in the way of traffic – there will be a lot of traffic.
