This one: The Subtle Secret of Success: Karthik Kanagasabapathy at TEDxUTSC - YouTube

Edit: Seriously though, give it a watch. Even removed from robotics, it’s a great talk in it’s own right.

Gonna start by getting Simon Sinek’s “Golden Circle” out of the way. I think I’ve been forced to watch it 92,674 times through high school, leadership development trainings, and into college. It’s worth watching once though.

My actual pick is Astro Teller’s “The Unexpected Benefit of Celebrating Failure”. This is the guy who runs X, which is essentially Google’s secret project future tech firm. I think that failure and iteration is one of the most important life lessons in this program and one that I’ve preached to my students (and friends and coworkers and roommates and). Both in and outside FRC, it’s a really useful lesson.
